Erectile Dysfunction (ED) – What Causes it, How is it Treated and Can It Be Cured Naturally?

Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is the inability to have and maintain an erection strong enough for intercourse. Having erectile dysfunction from time to time is not always a signal for concern. However, if erectile dysfunction is a chronic problem, it may cause emotional stress, impact your self-esteem and contribute to deteriorating relationship relationships. If you think that you may be suffering from erectile dysfunction, it is important that you visit a doctor to confirm the suspicions.

There are several physical causes of erectile dysfunction. These include high blood pressure, heart disease, high cholesterol, stress and depression. Other physical causes can be due to certain medications. Some prescription medicines also cause erectile dysfunction.

High blood sugar levels and high blood sugar can often lead to atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis is a condition in which hardening of the arteries takes place in the arteries surrounding the heart. Blood flow to the heart is decreased and therefore oxygen and nutrients are not reaching the heart as they should. Blood vessels in the penis may become hardened because of high blood sugar levels.

Other causes of erectile dysfunction include physical conditions and diseases, such as diabetes and cardiac conditions. Diabetes can affect sexual arousal. Cardiac conditions can lead to the lack or a lack of sexual arousal. Diseases and conditions such as atherosclerosis can cause symptoms to occur. Symptoms of these conditions include, but are not limited to erection failure, reduced sensation of sexual arousal and decreased libido.

Psychological treatments can help with Erectile Dysfunction (ED). Cognitive-behavioral therapy has been very successful in treating patients with erectile dysfunction (ED). This treatment targets and addresses the various causes of ED. These treatments train the patient to control his erections. Psychological treatments have a higher success rate than pharmaceutical treatments, because patients do not have to tolerate prescription medications, or visit their doctors for every visit.

The length of time that an erection lasts can be affected by ED. Patients with erectile dysfunction (ED) that lasts for more than 6 hours after intercourse has been completed will likely be given a referral to a psychologist to discuss further treatment options. If patients are having issues with their partners, or are unable to sustain a long enough erection to be satisfying during intercourse, they should consult their partners before any treatment options are discussed.

One of the most troubling sexual health conditions is erectile dysfunction. Millions of men around the world are affected by this condition. If you are suffering from it, then you know how debilitating and embarrassing erectile dysfunction can be. In addition, you probably also know about the side effects that go along with it, such as impotence and low libido. It’s time to take control of your condition and get back into the bedroom!

ED has several underlying physical causes. Some of these are physical causes, while others are psychological. One of the psychological causes is heart disease. So what can you do to avoid heart disease and/or erectile dysfunction?

Your doctor will want to conduct a physical examination. The most commonly performed physical exam is done using a desktop physical examination gadget called an oximeter. This device will allow your doctor to determine how hard you are able to erect and whether or not you suffer from erectile dysfunction. Your doctor may also want to use a blood test to determine your triglycerides and high density lipoproteins (HDL).

After your physical examination, your doctor will most likely ask you to participate in a series of self-assessments. In this process, you will be asked about your sexual intercourse and your general health. You will most likely undergo a battery of tests, such as blood tests, urine tests, and a semen analysis. Once your doctor determines the cause of your erectile dysfunction, he may recommend you with medication. The most common medications prescribed for erectile dysfunction are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), nitrate preparations, and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs).

ED can also be caused by several other medical conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, neurological disorders, and psychological issues. If you’re experiencing ED because of any of these medical conditions, it’s important that you talk with your physician right away. A physician, such as the men’s center for ED and PE in Cincinnati known as Proactive Men’s Medical Center, will be able to diagnose the actual cause of your erectile dysfunction and prescribe the proper treatment for your specific condition. For psychological reasons, many people try to treat their symptoms with psychotropic medications, which have side effects that can include depression, anxiety, dizziness, and memory loss.

To eliminate erectile dysfunction and regain your sex life, it’s important that you make lifestyle changes and take medication as directed by your doctor. However, lifestyle changes will not cure erectile dysfunction. Once you have addressed the medical condition and its causes, you must focus on making permanent lifestyle changes. These changes can include losing weight, quitting smoking, reducing your stress level, increasing your water intake, and getting more exercise.
